          It is expedient to contact or speak by telephone, 818 994 – 6858, to Addiction Studies Program Director James Crossen, prior to registering for Addiction Studies Program classes.

         

          The purpose of the discussion is to suggest a sequence of courses that will most benefit you in the spring, 2009 semester.

         

          A suitable education plan will be suggested for you, regardless of how many or how few Addiction Studies courses you may be able to take in the spring 2009 semester.

         

          If you have already registered in one or more addiction studies courses for spring, 2009 semester, nevertheless, please contact Addiction Studies Program Director James Crossen, in classroom 3252, (Business Education Building 3200), or telephone  818 994 6858.

         

          It is easy to change, or add, or substitute certain classes to suit your circumstances and according to your education plan, during the first week of Addiction Studies classes, which is Monday, February 9 through Saturday, February 14, 2009

AS 91 – ADVANCED FIELDWORK FOR ADDICTION PERSONNEL, Section 5027

            5:30 – 6:35 pm, plus 160 hours internship during the semester

            Prerequisite for AS 91 is successful completion of AS 9, James Crossen

 

          AS 91 and AS 9 will meet together at the same time, 5:30 – 6:35   pm, and in the same classroom, 3252.

     

AS 16 – ADVANCED COUNSELING SKILLS – Continuing Recovery: Strategies and Basic Skills, 7:00 – 10:10 pm, Marty Farash, Section 3012

         

          Those registering for AS 9 – Primary Fieldwork, 5:30 – 6:35 pm, will register also for the next class, AS 16 – Advanced Counseling Skills:         Continuing Recovery, 7:00 – 10:10 pm

          That is to say, AS 9 – Primary Fieldwork, and AS 16 – Advanced

          Counseling Skills: Continuing Recovery, are to be taken together as if they were one course.
